This can be achieved in couple of ways.
Depending upon how you look at it, Quickest way may be to open command prompt and typing SFC /SCANNOW or you can go to START - ALL PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - SYSTEM TOOLS and click System Restore:
IMPORTANT NOTE: You would go back to previous fully functional operating system image and may loose all your changes that may have affected system files.

How do I delete an "undeletable" file??
1) Open a Command Prompt window and leave it open.

Trick to find the Invisible person on Yahoo chat
Sometimes some of your friends who appear offline in yahoo messenger may not be actually offline, they may in the 'Invisible' mode. This maybe if they are trying to ignore you or are too busy to talk to anyone.
There is this small trick that you can use to find out what the truth is.
Firstly open your yahoo messenger main window and double click on the name of the person whom you want to check. The chat window will open obviously.
Click IMVironment button, select See all IMVironments, select Yahoo! Tools or Interactive Fun, and click on Doodle.
After loading the Doodle imvironment there can be two possibilities
1.If the user is offline Doodle are will show this "waiting for your friend to load Doodle" continuously .See in the picture below:
If the user is online (but in invisible mode), after few seconds (it can take up to one minute, depending on your connection speed), you should get a blank page like in the picture below. So you know that the user is online.

Windows XP System Hangs Response
Have you ever been using your computer and your system suddenly stops responding in ways like it if you try to open something it just hangs? One time I tried deleting a folder and it said it was in use, but it really wasn't. If this ever happens to you, you can follow these simple steps to 'reboot' your computer without 'rebooting' it.
Press CRTL + ALT + DEL
Goto the 'processes' tab and click explorer.exe once and then click 'end process'.
Now, click File > New Task and type explorer.exe
Everything should be fine now!
If the problem is major, I would recommend actually shutting down then starting up again.

Change Drive Icon. Looks cool
First of all copy a icon file to the root of the drive.
example: c:\icon.ico
Then create a file called: autorun.inf in c:\autorun.inf
then open that file and type the following:
[autorun]
icon=icon.ico
save and close the file.
Now open my computer and refresh.. and woh! icon changed....
you can apply to other drives too.
be careful:
"autorun.inf" and "ico.ico" must be in the root of the drive.
example: c:\autorun.inf and c:\icon.ico.

Ever thought of changing the display format of time in the taskbar of ur windows??Then here is a trick to display ur name in place of AM r PM.
1)Click Start
2)Go to Control Panel->Regional and Language Option

Disabling Msn Messanger at Startup
To Disable Messenger MSN from running go to the start menu and select RUN. In the window that appears type regedit The Registry editor will now have opened. Navigate to the following Key:

Name this new Key: Messenger

I have Windows XP, Ubuntu, and Vista. I love XP for it's reliability as I have known it to be. Vista I am not loving at the moment. Ubuntu I am learning but love it also. It is interesting to compare the two, Linux and Windows, but where Windows is lacking is the free upgrades for life. I started with Ubuntu 7.04? and received a free upgrade to 7.10. Windows does not offer a free upgrade from XP to Vista. Ubuntu is harder for me to run in the sense that I am used to Windows but it just takes a little while. Windows was originally designed to just cope with one PC and every build since then is just building on the original OS. Linux started out with multi-PC's in mind and works well that way. I find it interesting that on one PC I have two HD's, one has XP and the other Ubuntu, and when I run XP I can not find the Linux HD but Linux Ubuntu can see the XP HD just fine! Windows in this instance seems more narrow minded then Ubuntu.
End result: I hate Vista but love XP and Ubuntu. But in the end I go for Ubuntu, no virus programs needed! No virus seems to be able to get it and even if one could within 24 hours there is a fix that can automatically be downloaded to your system.
And i am enjoying the free software packages.
I have Windows XP, Ubuntu, and Vista. I love XP for it's reliability as I have known it to be. Vista I am not loving at the moment. Ubuntu I am learning but love it also.
